Located at our Agribase, 20 minutes south of Hastings, we have challenging and rewarding SEASONAL Agricultural Machinery Operator positions available for the upcoming Squash Harvest season, starting in January and running through to endApril 2018. The opportunity for a permanent position is available to the right candidate. FIXED TERM CONTRACT Immediate Start – April 2018 LEAD FENCER OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE Be part of our progressive farming business, working within our Land team, in Hawkes Bay. We need a very keen, hardworking LEAD FENCER GENERAL to assist with our overflow of water and fencing maintenance. We offer: 6-Months’ work through to April 2018 Modern facilities Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skills 5-day working week, but flexibility required for occasional weekend or urgent requirements Fencing ute and tools can be supplied, or BYO (allowance will then be applied) Good work plans with mapbooks; a lot of scope and a lot to do! To be successful, you must bring: Experience operating 4-wheel drive tractors with king hitter post driver, batten gun and post hole borer Productivity, motivation and ability to think for yourself, with good communication skills A positive and passionate approach, with pride and respect for the workplace and our land blocks Willingness to follow and implement Health & Safety protocols A current Full car licence with a good driving history We can offer benefits beyond working for a contractor, but our level-headed Land Manager has been a contractor too, so will be on the same plain of thinking! HARVEST POSITIONS – SEASONAL QUALITY CONTROLLER AND GRADERS WANTED Work outdoors with our squash harvest teams SEASONAL WORK TO APRIL 2018 Start date indication 15 January 2018, however may be earlier as we are season dependent Grader role: Grading squash to standard on the harvester Work in a team environment Maintain health and safety standards Good communication skills A positive attitude Quality Control role: Working with the graders to maintain the quality standards for the squash being harvested. A great attitude is essential to support the team and maintain health and safety standards.
