Brownrigg Agriculture is a livestock and cropping business based 20 minutes south of Hastings. We are looking for expressions of interest from fencing contractors or experienced fencers to carry out a fence maintenance and repair programme on our properties during the period January to April. The majority of the work will be in the Poukawa and Te Aute Valleys, 20 minutes south of Hastings but our platform ranges from Napier through to Central HB and there will be scattered work across the region. We have 3-4 months’ worth of work including the following: Fence re-straining and battening Post, strainer & gate replacement Installing electric out-riggers and risers Replacement/new fencing on a small scale Work will be planned ahead in fortnightly tranches, with flexibility built in to deal with repair and reinstatement work following our harvest operations. We would consider a team of two or more on a structured 2-3 day per week basis. Our Agronomy team oversees the planning, care and wellbeing of all our crops, pastures and forages across our cropping and livestock enterprises. Reporting to our Agronomy Manager, and working closely with the wider team, you will lead our pasture, forage and arable crop programme. With an emphasis on timely implementation of plans, precision and effective use of inputs and resources you will help the business achieve high performance plant production.
