Brownrigg Agriculture

A great partner in New Zealand food production

Brownrigg Agriculture is one of the largest farming agribusinesses in New Zealand.  We produce a range of natural farm produce of excellent provenance.

Privately owned by brothers David and Jonathan Brownrigg, the business is based in the highly productive region of Hawke’s Bay.  With 12 farms, comprising over 10,000 hectares of freehold and leasehold land, our operations span a range of livestock and cropping enterprises and complementary rural property investment.

The Brownrigg Agriculture business is built on a solid track record in research and innovation.  Today Brownrigg Agriculture features a team of highly capable personnel, strong market integration and the adoption of systemised, sustainable production methods. These characteristics have supported a 27% compound growth rate since the business was formed in 1989.

David and Jonathan trace their farming foundations to their Grandfather’s settlement in the area in 1930.

With a long-term focus, Brownrigg Agriculture has the scale and internal controls to be a highly reliable supplier of premium products across its range of activities. The strength of the supply base is the Company’s own freehold and long-term leasehold properties, comprising some of the most desirable soils in the country.

In its chosen niche markets of squash, prime lamb and Wagyu cattle, Brownrigg Agriculture is a leading producer in world terms.

An enduring characteristic of Brownrigg Agriculture is successful partnerships across production, service and marketing. Your interest in the business is welcomed and, if business ensues, we will do everything we can to assist in your success.
