Brownrigg brand – the freshness and flavour of New Zealand

The Brownrigg Agriculture family business started growing squash in 1988 and has become the largest grower in New Zealand, planting over 1,500ha to produce in excess of 25,000mt annually. Our squash programme succeeds through innovation, commitment and passion – with an absolute focus on long-keeping quality squash.  Extensive research and development and a hands-on approach to our monitoring and management systems are key to our success.

BA produces predominantly Ebisu types, which are proven performers that consistently deliver quality and flavour, and also the popular dry types.  We plant on the East Coast of the North Island of NZ, where we experience ideal growing conditions.

We take pride in the careful management of food safety, soil health and our environment.  With our investment in the latest technologies, monitoring systems and transport processes we produce a healthy crop that is harvested at the correct time to ensure the shelf-life of the product.

BA owns a dedicated packhouse – a premium quality facility – where we receive, grade and pack for export before shipping to the market via the nearby Port of Napier.
